How to Use - Cricketer Stats
Step 1: Enter Player Name
- Type the cricket player's name in the search field (e.g., "Virat Kohli", "MS Dhoni", "Sachin Tendulkar")
- You can enter the full name or just the last name - the tool will search for matches
- Click "Get Stats" or press Enter to search for the player
- The tool searches through a comprehensive database of cricket players
Step 2: Select Player (If Multiple Matches)
- If multiple players match your search, you'll see a list of suggestions
- Click on the correct player name from the suggestions
- This ensures you get stats for the exact player you're looking for
- Example: Searching "Kohli" might show "Virat Kohli" and "Anushka Kohli" - select the cricketer
Step 3: Review Career Statistics
- Format Cards: Statistics are organized by format - ODI, T20, and IPL
- Each format shows a separate card with all relevant batting statistics
- If a player hasn't played in a format, you'll see "No data available for this format"
- Statistics are based on ball-by-ball data from 2008 onwards
Step 4: Understand the Statistics
- Matches & Innings: Total games played and batting innings
- Runs: Total career runs scored in that format
- Balls Faced: Total deliveries faced while batting
- Average: Runs per dismissal (higher is better) - calculated as Runs รท (Innings - Not Outs)
- Strike Rate: Runs per 100 balls faced (higher means faster scoring)
- Highest Score: Best individual score in that format
- 50s / 100s: Number of half-centuries and centuries scored
- 4s / 6s: Total boundaries (fours) and sixes hit
- Dismissals & Not Outs: Times out vs times remained not out
Step 5: Compare Across Formats
- Compare how the player performs in different formats (ODI vs T20 vs IPL)
- Notice differences in strike rate - T20 typically has higher strike rates
- Compare averages - ODI averages are usually higher than T20
- See which format the player has played most matches in
